The first results on an on-going project to document the history of organised numismatics in Victoria are now available through the NAV’s Website. The Vault is a collection of items of historic interest relating to numismatic societies of the state both past and present. It includes early minutes of the first society, the Numismatic Society of Victoria, established in 1914. There are also early minutes of the NAV, as well as the entire run of Volume 2 of the Geelong Numismatic Society’s Journal from the late 1960s. As more items are digitised for posterity they will be placed in the Vault to act as a repository of our numismatic heritage for everyone to be able to access.
